With the globalization of the IP environment, we have increased our services for overseas clients, and today we have a balanced number of domestic and overseas clients.
              For more than 35 years, SUZUYE & SUZUYE has always ranked among the top three firms in the number of domestic patent applications. SUZUYE & SUZUYE, as a patent firm which started exclusively with trademark operations, is also one of the top class patent firms in trademarks, continuously dealing with trademark applications in more than 170 countries.

Excellent Overseas Associates

              Our long history has enabled us to establish a global network of over 2000 overseas associates with excellent expertise. This strong network gives us the power to provide effective solutions to overseas projects and disputes such as trademark infringement, litigations, negotiations, licensing, and counterfeit product-related matters which are ever increasing in recent years in China, South-East Asia, South America, and the Middle East.
              We participate in international conferences every year, have made reciprocal visits to the offices of most of our overseas associates, and are able to utilize our network of direct, trusted personal relationships in handling international issues.

Patent Attorneys of Various Backgrounds

              SUZUYE & SUZUYE has about 40 patent attorneys from various career backgrounds, including former Examiners and Appeal Examiners at the JPO, experts who formerly worked in the IP departments of private companies, and so on. There are also many patent attorneys who have acquired their qualification while working with SUZUYE & SUZUYE. With their multilateral viewpoints, we are always ready to provide services and advice that satisfy our clients’ needs.
              For patent cases, our patent attorneys, in cooperation with more than 100 technical professionals, cover the full range of technical fields. Our services include not only acquisition of rights through filing of applications and appeal proceedings, etc., but also IP strategic services after acquisition of rights, such as assessment, appraisal, countermeasures against infringement, negotiation, licensing, and litigation.
              For trademark cases, some of our patent attorneys are specialized in international trademarks to cope with the increasing number of overseas disputes which involve infringement, negotiation, licensing, litigation, etc.
              For design cases, we handle domestic and overseas applications and attend oral proceedings frequently held at the JPO with skilled patent attorneys and staff members who have extensive knowledge in assessment, appraisal, infringement, litigation, and many other affairs.

New Office, New System, and New Organizational Structure

              Relocated in May 2016, SUZUYE & SUZUYE is now at the Shiba-Koen(Shiba Park). The area is also the center of Tokyo, but is very clean and has lots of green space.
              At the new office, all of our team members are directly employed by SUZUYE & SUZUYE, not by separate entities or outsourced companies. We are one organization. The new organizational structure will enable us to pursue strict legal compliance policies and high standards of human resource development, ultimately ensuring that we are able to provide the highest level of services to our clients.
